What is the basis for the assertion that the US media is left biased, and controlled by "Zionists"?

I am genuinely interested in rational explanations for what strikes me as blatant anti-Semitism from the very same people that say we must protect Israel under all circumstance ?
Seriuosly .. where is the disconect on this one?

I am asking this question after reading other members questions.. I didn't come up with it..

The media is left biased, no doubt about that - but controlled by Zionists - I'll leave that theory to the conspiracy theorists.

We do need to protect Israel because they are a solid democracy and good friend and an island of stability in a very unstable region. They have been loyal friends to the US, and they are not afraid to stand up to terrorists, because they know first hand how dangerous and mindless terrorism can be...

The Jewish people have suffered greatly throughout their history, and they deserve to have a homeland where they can be safe and secure. They have been vigilant about defending themselves, and they have a right to, as many of these lawless Islamic groups only seek to destroy them.

Your question has a flawed premise, and I don't think that you understand all of the dynamics at play.

1. Left bias? For many of the 'traditional' sources: NY Times, LA Times, Washington Post, CBS, NBC, ABC, NPR, you bet.
