Since I have no idea where you live or what your qualifications are, this is a shot in the dark. You will have to get a "survival job;" I would suggest trying a small independent security firm. They are usually hiring. But I can tell you this, here in Fort Worth even they are slow to hire right now. Times are tough all over. Baring that try McDonald's or Burger King. It is not great money, and it it crappy working conditions, but it is better then nothing. Just as a point of reference, I have a degree, and a book to my name, and I still am working at a survival job just to make ends meet. The Bush America is in the toilet. The only sectors making money are the paper pushers, and the reality markets. The real working folk are taking it hard. It is a sorry state of affairs when you consider how good it was in the 1990s. Contact me if you need more info.

You won't be able to collect because you have no job to bring up the benefits for unemployment. So if you don't work now, you won't get anything in January '07

I don't think that you can in the state of Michigan, once you have exhausted the benefits. That is why a lot of people have left our state, because they still can not find work.
