the cheerleaders do seem unbelievably manipulative and evil!

There is some fact in any movie, but most of it is bull. Some cheerleaders can be stuck up, but most of them are nice to everyone, at least on the surface.

No. What you see on television and movies is filmed in southern California and even every high in that part of the country is different. I went to a high school where the cheerleaders(well most of them anyway) were not evil and manipulative. In fact, I was friends with some of the cheerleaders.

No. They exaggerate big time in movies. I'm sure some American high schools have students who are extreme in their behavior, but for the most part, the movies just have characters who act the way they do for entertainment purposes.

at my school there are SOME cheerleaders that are like that...a few of my friends are cheerleaders and they're real nice.
you still have those cliques on campus where there's the nerds, band ppl, the skaters/punk, and all that.
but every high school is different.

They are I went to a school that I thought was right off the tv screen in washington township new jersey, but have you seen the schools in the hood it is true might even be worse thats why i home school my kids. In my neiborhood they arest kids for bring guns to school down to elementry.

Kinda sorta not really. The cliques are no where near as defined. And one group is not totally evil, while another is totally good, and another is totally weird. And nothing ever works out so perfectly.

Well, there's no whole groups of dancing and singing going on. There are still the snobs,the nerds and the lucnch tables with the most popular people.
