Great question! and yes. I have no choice but to be the same when I'm old! You see, I have this stubborn little kid inside me and he refuses to leave despite how old I get. He just won't listen to me at all. lol.
One thing is for certain is that I will never change. I'm in my late 30's and I still feel and act young. Not childish or immature, just young-ish. I really can't help it cuz it's just that I feel young inside. My body might age and slow down in time but my spirit will just laugh at all these silly outer changes.
The best is yet to come..........

I'm 35 years old and I can tell you that I'm not the same way I was when I was 21. Life has a way of changing people, some for the better, some for the worse.
It's how we deal with trauma in our lives that defines us and shapes us into the adults we become.
Hypothetically, can you honestly say that you will not be any different if say your mother or father passed away?
What if you saw something truly traumatic in your life? Don't you think it would change the way you think about that certain person or scenario?
We all want to stay the same but fortunately and unfortunately, life has a way of changing things without you having any say-so in the matter.

I have not changed in that I still love people, my husband, and my family. I still love adventure, although I can't physically do what I used to - so I enjoy being at the location and watching others love life. I still have my liberal leanings and occasionally show up at a demonstration for this or that (last time I was protesting the KKK having a meeting on MLK day during the memorial march.) I still believe in sense-less beauty and random acts of kindness. I have changed in that I can appreciate these things even more than I did when young.

I am older and I have changed a lot in my life in ways I would have never expected. You live your life from day to day, preparing the best you can through your education and work experience. You learn from each new person who is brought into your life even if for a brief period of time. Stay open and aware. Don't let people take away your enthusiasm for your dreams but keep a tether to the here and now.

I keep thinking that I will improve greatly with age, but as age creeps up on me...ugh! the surprises! I believe that we have a great deal of control in the quality of our lives, but the reality is a lot of things just happen and you find yourself in health and other circumstances that you never could have imagined, much less get prepared.
Good luck with your aging. Hopefully, life will not throw you many surprises.

The recurrence of our memories as children may keep one young at heart, memories may have eternal relationships to our bodies and mind set, the study of a child's mind is very fascinating, for some of us we never disassociate our past as a child, i never have & never will. Yet we are all very different in reference to recurrences of memories, different variations & possibilities of transference of who we wish to be, how we wish to feel and look as a physcial three dimensional entity.
We get better with age from experience & observation of how we sense life, one can only think to stay the same & perhaps one can stay the same, but it is whether we are the same that will expose our way in nature.

Never say never.
I'll be 50 soon, but keep my mind young. The secret is not to take things too seriously. Live the way you want to live, not by someone else's rules. Go out in the woods once in a while...it's great therapy.
Life doesn't have to be complicated.

When a person gets old some people change and some people don't change. Sometimes their behavior changes and sometimes their behavior doesn't change. But I do believe that the older you get the wiser you may become. It takes life experience and a maturity level!

I've often worried that I'll lose my twisted sense of humour and optimism as I get older, but both my parents and my relatives still have it, so I should be good!
I hope I never change... only if I change for the better.

No one knows for sure. Illness, injury, being sent to war, or experiencing a traumatic event could really change the way a person feels and thinks.
