Contact Lenses require an up to date prescription. Your eyes can slightly change shape or power over time and although the power isn't as harmful the shape (curvature) is! If you get ones that have a steeper curve than your eye is they will dig into your eyes over time and the center will bubble out and can cause dryness and irritation under the contact. You can ruin your eyes over time with ill-fitting contacts.

In the US you cannot purchase without a prescription. The seller could be sued and would lose everytime. It's like prescription drugs...you got to see the doc.

Nope, sadly. I tried that, too. Lenses are just like any other script--you need one from a doctor to get it legally. I doubt there's a black market for contact lenses, though :(

you elect a prescription. Your previous doctor may well be keen to grant you a prescription for sufficient contacts to final till you may locate yet another doctor. ultimately you are going to could see a doctor and get a clean prescription.

pretty much all eyecare places will require a VALID and UP TO DATE perscription.... but if you need them quick and dont really have the money to get the exam, then try 1-800-CONTACTS. they always fill them without a new Rx
