Try asking around. More people look into private schools than you think. I only know a few (I got sent to boarding and private schools all over and so did some of my friends). I know that Seton (Elizabeth Seton) is a good all-girls religious boarding school ( I don't know what kind you are looking for, so I'll name some random ones). Queen Anne's I also heard is a good one. West Nottingham is one of my favorite schools in Maryland, but I'm not sure if it is in your area. It is one of the more popular schools, but there is a rigorous academic and social program that allows students to inteact but still study. Georgetown Prep is an all-boys jesuit school that was really popular, and those are the only ones I can think of. Now, back to the question. When you compare private schools, keep in mind what is best for the student. Don't count out some of the lower-cost schools. Many private schools have good reputations, but are horrible learning institutions. Keep in mind the size of the student body, the advanced courses offered, the extracurriculars offered, the tuition, and the enjoyment of the person attending.
