Girl, go to San Diego, he is not going anywhere, he is going to prison for god sakes. He needs you, you have the upper hand now in the relationship, and just let him know, fine, then give me a divorce, he'll back down. Really, I dont know anything about your situation, like time he is going to be gone? Why he is going? But maybe take this weekend and revaluate your life, is he really worth the wait, and if he is, Great, but the million dollar question is: Would he wait, for you????Have a great weekend in San Diego.

Mmmm. How long is he going away? I went for 3 years for trafficking. My girlfriend (we lived together) said she would never leave me; she left after 8 months. It was VERY hard trying to maintain a relationship in that situation. You never know how hard until you actually have to go through it. What's with San Diego? The sad truth is most relationships don't survive a prison term; I saw it every week. Sux! You have to do what you think is right. Good luck!!
P/S - To all of you losers trashing the guy for going to prison; hope you never need anyone to stand by you when the chips are down! Seems like I remember something about, "For better, or worse. In sickness and in health."

Doesn't sound like much of a loss to me, sorry. You don't go to prison for shoplifting a stick of gum so whatever he did was big enough to lead him there. With him going to prison, you're far better off leaving him if that's the way he's going to be. Go to San Diego...maybe you'll find a man who abides by the law and won't make lame threats of divorce because he's insecure that he's going away for something HE did. Good luck...you're going to need it.

Divorce is cheaper if one's in Prison. The state I am in if your spouse is in Jail or prison you can get a divorce for around 50 bucks. But the issue is what are you to do. Ask yourself Do you love him really? Is he worth waiting for? And the biggest question for you is this. Does he respect you? If you answer yes to all these then don't go. But if you answer no to two or more. Start packing. The answer is in your heart not ours. So think about it. Make your decision. And do whats right for you. Good Luck

Go to San Diego. Let him divorce you. It appears you might be better off than being with a convict.

Obviously he doesn't love you that much. Threatening you with a divorce just for going to San Diego. Ha, that is pathetic.
