DVD RW means it is rewritable
DVD R means it is a 1 time use

buy the DVD RW's even though they are more expensive

The +RW is generally considered to be superior to the -RW. Make sure which is one compatible with whatever device you will be playing the disc back in.

Some good recorders such as BenQ, Lite-on, and Plextor allow you to bit set the +RWs to DVD-ROM which makes them compatible with most devices.

I think both should be the same. As long as there's "RW" stated, it should be a rewrite-able drive

shouldn't be a difference, both should be read/write to dvd medium
