in DVD+RW you can burn or make a copy from a dvd movie, can't burn from a DVD-RW.

DVD RW means it is rewritable
DVD R means it is a 1 time use
buy the DVD RW's even though they are more expensive

The +RW is generally considered to be superior to the -RW. Make sure which is one compatible with whatever device you will be playing the disc back in.
Some good recorders such as BenQ, Lite-on, and Plextor allow you to bit set the +RWs to DVD-ROM which makes them compatible with most devices.

the difference is the negative sign and postive signs.
DVD+RW only support + blank dvd
DVD-RW only support - blank dvd

I think both should be the same. As long as there's "RW" stated, it should be a rewrite-able drive
