I get agitated really easy. I fly off the handle. I feel if things are going well i have a nack of messing them up. I scream and yell when I get upset. I know I should control my feelings but I feel also as if I would explode if I don't. I guess I just don't know how to handle things well.

I don't know how old you are or what your family dynamics were?
It could be how you were treated both positive/negative.
Are these symptoms new?
It's good to express yourself but you don't need to explode to be heard. It's good to keep a journal. Do you have a good network of friends, who support you?
Try a support group with people your age or a therapist.

I am a older women, not too old.lol I have had some problems, like this before. These are some things to keep in mind, that might help you. Do you get enough rest? eat right? exercise? Just 25or30 min a day just for yourself? If you are able too, talk to your Doctor... Then when you know, that all these things are being done right, and everyday. You just might find that things will get a little bit better,everyday.....

i used to feel like this too. I was self destructive until i got some help. It might take a while to find the right medication for you, like paxil or zoloft....but once you find it, it makes a world of difference. If you have insurance, go talk to a therapist. Just talking to someone that is trained to recognize symptoms of depression can be liberating...someone finally understands and they can do something about it. good luck

Could be depression, or more likely you have a mild personality disorder. But, the fact that you KNOW it's not good, means that you probably can get over it!

Get some counselling, some behavior therapy.

In a word "stress". Now that I am almost stress free I find that I am much calmer. My stress was working full time, taking care of a family and a home.
