I read that there is a lot of rugby in California. WHy is it?

the Univ. of California at Berkeley has won 22 of the last 30 Univ. level championships. that has led to a surge in popularity, especially in northern California. southern california recently hosted the amateur world championships with 400 teams or so.

America love tough demanding sports and the way I hear it they have alot tough people who thrive on the contact sports such as rugby union. If it was as popular as American Football they would rule the world. They have so many talented people.
