They treat you like that, because they love more than anything and absolutely nothing in the world matters to them like your health and well being. Be kind to them and be a good grandson. Don't do stuff around them that they don't like to see. Go into the store with them and help them - you never know how much time you have left with them.

Peace!

The people in your life that have known you since you were a baby will never treat you as if you're as mature as you feel you are. That's just how it is. I'm 43 years old, and my older cousins still call me by a name I haven't used since I was 4.

The best you can do is be a mature person yourself. Most of the folks around you will respond and treat you based on how you act.

But your parents, and more so your grandparents, will never quite catch up to how mature you are. Your parents will lag by a few years, and your grandparents by a lot more than that.

Enjoy your grandparents while you have them once they are gone you will regret ever being mad about something like this. There life back then was hard also and I am sure they heard the same things you are hearing now. My grandma and grandpa died within 3 weeks of each other when I was 13 I just wish for one more minute with them.

When you are 12 - 1 year is 1/12th of your life

When you are 60 - 1 year is 1/60th of your life

You think your grandparents are old
they think you are young
When they were 12 - 12 year olds were still children
When they were 12 - they couldn't believe everyone was still treating them like a baby

Get mature if you want to be treated grown up
ACT GROWN UP - show them some respect
They will never be exactly like you
and please remember how you feel when your grandchildren turn 12

Stop whining about your great grandparents like a 5 year old and maybe someday they will treat you like you're older. Instead of cartoons read a book then. And you have no business being in a car alone anyway, you obviously don't have a driver's license. Bottom line if you'd stop acting like a 5 year you wouldn't be treated like one.

i think that's funny *LOL* isn't it funny how they are trying to protect you from such "naughty" language.. if they only knew.

the only advice i can give is to be respectful to your grandparents. they lived in a world that moved a great deal slower than the world we are faced with now. admire your grandparents in their innocence... the way we admire the innocence of an infant.
