If you love Latin women, you'll love Miami. First; you get variety from all over Latin America. Second, they're not just interested in you for a green card. Third, they love blue eyed blonds, & Fourth, they're fed up with being treated like dirt by their macho boyfriends. (I'm biased; I've just been served a cafe Cubano by our Uruguayan receptionist)

If you're gonna move here then you better know Spanish because believe it or not it's the dominant language, I know I live there. Trust me the Latino women are not a big enough reason to move here, you'll get tired of them in no time. The heat is unbearable, well not the heat as much as the humidity. Miami is just overrated.

But why Miami? Why not seek employment in a Latin country and get the whole Latin experience rather than a majority group of bitter Cuban exiles? I seriously doubt that you will find it that easy to mix and mingle with the Latin community in Miami. My impression is that it is very inward looking.
Being Canadian, why not check out Cuba itself; as long as you are in it for the experience and not the $$? I would Google and check out opportunities from Costa Rica to Chile. Sounds like a ball.

I live in Miami and is great, but like everywhere you have to check the area first because there are good and bad places...
In the good places are Miami Beach, El Doral and the SW area of miami, a little more expensive but better to live.
Good Luck!!

It depends on what you like. For its diversity, I think Miami is okay. For other issues(too many strip clubs, corrupt racist cops, etc.) I would not live there personally for those reasons. That and there is never any winter weather.

No, because of the latino population has taken over...it barely seems like America there. My grandma lived there, we moved her several years ago.

Miami is good to visit but I would never be able to live there. But also I don't like hot weather.
