Every baby is different. Most babies have their final eye color by 6 months old, and the vast majority by a year. But there are exceptions; some babies' eye color changes even after the first birthday. And, some people's eyes change color between two related colors (e.g. blue and gray) even in young adulthood.

I am a mother of three sons...ages 10, 6, and 2 months old. I must say there is NOT an age that their eye color stays the same.
My oldest was born with blue eyes...they stayed blue for two years...then they turned a wheat/gold color and stayed that way for another four years...and now they are green
my middle child was born blue eyed as well...and changed dark brown about when he was 2 and has stayed dark brown
third child born blue and still is
I was born blue eyed as well, so I was told. had brown eyes for 21 years...after I had my first son, MY eyes changed hazel. no joke...
every ones body can change...they say u stop growing in height and shoe size at a certain age also...BUT I can prove that wrong too...
You can really never tell on eye color. Most people and doctors will tell you the eye color will be set at AROUND 1yr...and for SOME people it is true...but you just will never REALLY know for sure.....it's natures little mystery...it can change over time and unexpected...

Usually around 6 months. If they are born with dark eyes, they have more pigment and chances are they will stay dark. Blue and green eyes have less pigment so the baby could develop more and have darker eyes. My son was born with brown eyes and they're still brown.

From personal experience, it can be as old as 7 years. My eye color changed from first to second grade. My brother did the same way.

They say 6 months, but my oldest child had the bluest eyes until he was 6 years old, when they turned green.

about 6 months you will see a dominent color. at 9 months they are a distinct color.
i asked this same question many years ago. my son had typical dark blue eyes when he was born... they stayed a dark blue BUT, they had this one dark brown stripe all the way through one iris... it was spooky looking. but the doctor was right, at 9 months his eyes were just solid brown (wiping sweat from brow).
