I changed the EGR valve but the light stayed on. I heard that it could be a vacuum leak or the Idle air control valve. Which one is it most likely for it to be or is it something else.

I changed the EGR valve and reset the computer and the check engine light came back on. I was told that it could be a vacuum leak or the idle air control valve. Which one of these is the most likely problem or could it be something else. I don't want to keep change the wrong part.

I changed the EGR valve,Idle air control valve, change vacuum hoses and reset the computer. The check engine light is still on the code is the EGR flow is insufficient. What else could it be.

I agree withthe others and the DPFE is a sensor known for going out on them cars casuing a p0401 or p0402 in the computers memory... The sensor is a dealer only item and is $100 last I looked...

But best thing is to get the sensor (Ford base part number is 9J460 should be something like f77z 9j460 ab if I remember) and the 2 specialty hoses for it (Ford # 9P761)

There is a sensor that is silver colored and has 2 hoses going to it, It is call a Delta Pressure Feed back exhaust sensor aka DPFE. They are common to go out on them all the time. They are around 70 bucks at the dealer. Replace it and clear codes will fix it.
