If they don't, the breasts hang down, pulling on the chest, which leads to stretching of the breasts and drooping, as well as back pain from having to hold them up.
These things still develop eventually, but wearing a supportive bra helps quite a bit.
Most women get a lot of soreness in their breasts if they go without a bra for even a single day, particularly if they are large (and therefore heavier).

Casue some French guy invented that thing and thought he could make a lot of money off of it by fooling women into the believe that they need it.
Case in point: the women that have tiny breasts still wear bras. And a lot of women in Africa that don't wear them.

So the breasts don't sag and hang to the floor like old lady breasts, and it lifts them up so we don't have to be carrying them like bean bags or something. They also give them support it makes them nice and rounder, plumper and bigger. The bottom line is that their comfortable for us and it lifts them up and that feels better than having them sag or hang. They also create cleavage (well some bras) I just like the feeling it gives, cause if I never wore a bra I would feel disgusting. Well I hope this answers your question!

We do it to piss you off.
Seriously... think about it. It's extremely uncomfortable to have your boobs bouncin around while you go about your daily activities. I'm only an 'A', and it annoys me... particularly when going up and down the stairs, jogging, etc...
It's also a handy place to stick some padding, when we want to pull a dirty trick on you guys... but you go for it, so it's your problem :)

for support, fashion , to add fake size, and for support. If larger and hanging around it will cause the skin to streach and eventually be out of shape . They aslo could be painful if not supported
