Some people say all terroism is bad and evil and can never be justified. And all terroist should be killed and those who condone terroism are unpatriotic But some people on here claim that americans formed their great country of freedom and democracy by commiting genocid ethnic cleansing and terrorism of their native indians by masaccaring whole villages klling women and children. If americans can cliam that it was nessary for the building of american into the grearest country on earth Then what is philosophically wrong with terroism

Defining terrorism - ANY act that promotes fear and terror. The English and their cohorts came here and literally wiped out the way of life for many innocent people. The US is no better than any other country. I am from the US and some may say that I am unpatriotic but in reality, I'm a realist. The tribal peoples here refused to give up something that was not theirs - land. The English settlers were not "at war" with the tribes, they did commit genocide for their own personal greed and gain. Who gave them the right to come into someone elses homeland and take the inhabitants and relocate them anywhere? As for the other countries, all one needs to realize is the definition of terrorism. A terrorist can be your next door neighbor that abuses their children to the Taliban that blows up buildings to the government that issues marshall law. Terrorism is wrong no matter what. Those that preach that they are in a war againt terrorism have no idea how to settle things peacfully themselves. If everyone would mind their own business and stop trying to enact their own beliefs and desires on others, this world may be a more peacful place and we may be able to sort out the real terrorists.

There is a difference between being at war and being terrorist. Although I do not agree with the forefathers' methods of claiming the US, they did offer a peaceful solution in relocation. The Native Americans refused (righteously) and we were at war. And although many Native Americans died, it was not genocide and ethnic cleansing--the purpose was to obtain land, not to wipe the Native Americans off the face of the earth. So while early Americans were clearly in the wrong, they were not "terrorists".

Well that has to be one of the most silly arguments I've ever heard.

Using your logic then anyone whos great-great-grandfather raped a woman should have to register as a "sex-offender"

America's sins from 130 years ago do not in any way negate our countries ability to have an opinion on people who "suicide bomb" innocent people today.

You are a prime example of what is wrong with our public school system and left wing thinking.

I AGREE FULLY... THE FACT REMAINS THAT THE US ARE THE TERRORIST AND THE OTHER PERSONS OPPOSING THEM ARE DEFENDING THEMSELVES... THE US HAVE KILLED AND ENSLAVED NATIVE INDIANS, AFRICANS, OTHER AMERICANS, KILLED INNOCENT:
VIETNAMESE, KOREAN, SOMALIES, CANADIANS (BOMBING OF CANADIANS IN TRAINING IN AFGHANISTAN), PALESTINIANS, IRAQUIS, AND COUNTLESS OTHER PERSONS... THEY ARE WAR CRIMINALS AND SHOULD BE IN JAIL...
