Darwin Awards are given for this. Fools who kill themselves with their folly contribute to survival of the fittest. A German family managed to lock themselves out of their car with lions near in Africa. They provided a meal for the big cats and were given posthumous Darwin Awards. Some such people are in a series of books on dumbest criminals. A robber had a sawed-off shotgun behind his belt buckle. He hit the trigger when he tried a quick draw. What a way to go!
