Anyone have advice on where I can get coverage for the duration of my pregnancy. I make way to much money for medicaid or any of those other programs (I already checked). I did some research on blue cross/shield but most of their plans were too costly and barely covered pre and post natal things.
Anything would be helpful!

I have a big sonogram coming up and it's about $800 just to be seen. Unfortunately, that's a little rich for my blood.

I know I was speaking english when I said that I MAKE TOO MUCH MONEY FOR MEDICAID!
No I am not single but me and my husband just moved to another state last month and neither one of us have found a stable job. For the genius that said get another job....what job do you think I can get with a big a$$ belly that would hire me knowing that I'm 4 months away from delivering???
For the coat hanger guy.....you're an idiot. I'm a grown a$$ woman and have been doing fine for the last 4 months without insurance, so save your childish statement.
For everyone with USEFUL information....thanks very much and I'll check up on it.
When did people start being so d@mn nasty to pregnant WOMEN (27years old)?

Call 1 800 848 5683 this is a national pregnancy hot line, they can put you in touch with a pregnancy resource center near you. The resource center can give you information on your states medical coverages & where to go to apply. Some states will pay for "big" things, but not regular visits. Please call this number, the resource center also offer many other services (abortion is not one of them) and they can help you in many many ways.

Did either of you have insurance at your prior job before you moved? You may be entitled to COBRA. I think you have up to 90 days to sign up from the date you left your job. It basically is the same insurance you had before, you just have to pay all (meaning the employer doesn't bear any costs). It isn't cheap (roughly $500 a month for a family) but that's not bad when you consider the average birth in the US costs between $6000-$10000 and up for c-sections.

in case you could't arise with the money for to purchase insurance, it really is somewhat expensive once you're pregnant, or in case you stay in a state like ny the position being pregnant is a preexisting condition and no insurance organizations will conceal you (used to stay in ny and grew to develop into pregnant, got here upon out the demanding way that you could't get insurance even if you're keen to pay for it), then follow for Medicaid. because you're already pregnant they're going to maximum likely settle for you, you merely choose to make optimistic you get evidence of being pregnant from planned Parenthood or a physician. sturdy success.

The only thing that will be available to you is medicaid. Talk to the insurance people at your doctors office. They should be able to help.
