well the europeans have a point, they DID come up with the term for football first and developed a game around that first. Americans developed american football from rugby.

Why is soccer called Football?..I think that is a slap in the face to the greatest game on this planet...played by the National Football League...not soccer..that you foreigners like to call football which is no way resembles the "real" sport of football created by the Americans which is the only real football sport and the greatest sport of them all.
Why don't foreigners realize that football is an American sport ,not a sport that players wear gym shorts and sneakers.?
The "real" football sport ,players wear helmets ,pads,and protective gear because it is a contact sport ,not a sport where players go prancing around in gym shorts.
Stop masquerading your beloved sport with any similarities with the real "football" sport played here in America,just because our sport is better and way more competitive.

No, it's played with hands and feet both. Volleyball is played with hands. Do some research before you act so ignorant.
