I can't give you the exact scene but I'll bet it has two characteristics.
1. It was shot in Black and White
2. Everyone kept their clothes on in front of the camera.
Casablanca has many fans and is said by some to be the best movie ever shot. It may also have what you are looking for.
IMO today's films are entirely too explicit. A little subtle, with a viewer's imagination called into play can really be a good thing. Why are books said to be greater than film? Because, while the author develops a scene, your mind is what makes every item in it and because you made them you can always recognize them.
