The Margaret Island is unique, beautifull landmark, the Castle on the Buda side of the Danube is also a must, you can have there a few drinks at the Fisherman's Bastion, the Citadel is worth seeing, you can see most of the city from there. The Heroes Square with the Vajdahunyad Castle right behind it is a beautifull place to see, the Parliament building is worth visiting from inside and outside as well. If you like shopping, the Westend City Mall behind the Nyugati Railway station is the place to go. It is a gorgeous city, you won't regret the time spent there. Have fun

I went several years ago but the thing I remember the most was the zoo. I did see all the main tourist attractions but really liked the zoo and the park it was in. We were just wandering around in the park and saw this cute castle. If I went again I would try and go to a bath house. When I went it was new as a tourist place so we jsut wandered around until we saw something that looked important.

You can't really get a "brief" answer to this question :) Its heaps to see and experience. Type in "Hungary" or "Budapest" in one of the search sites and you'll get a few really good webpages to read about Hungary a bit more before you go there. Ohter than that maybe start your trip on the Vaci Street downtown, and you'll get ideas from there, I'm sure. Definately go and try one of the most famous baths (Gellert or Szechenyi)
You'll have so much fun!

Ejoy your trip!
