I think my sister's boyfriend has a mental problem. This guy came here from Milwaukee 2 months ago. He has taken over my sisters house to the point that the kids can't eat dinner until he has his first. And if anyone touches anything that he bought he argues with my sister. For instance she washed her hands with his shampoo after using the bathroom and he threatened to move out because she didn't respect his things. He hides things like ashtrays, dish liquid, toilet paper etc. He is 5' tall and wieghes about 130 lbs. Does he have the short man syndrome?

First off, there is a difference between being mentally challenged and being mentally ill or having a mental problem.

A person who is "mentally challenged" is some one who is retarded or borderline retarded (low IQ, low cognitive skills, low intellectual functioning). This man does not sound mentally challenged.

He does however sound like he has a mental problem, or at the very least is emotionally disturbed. He is being abusive. It is not going to get better, unless he decides he wants to change. You should strongly suggest to your sister that she dump him and find someone else. He could be dangerous, and most certainly this is no environment for these children to be living in.
