They have some pretty crazy beliefs, like charging $300,000 to achieve salvation, or saying that we all came from another planet and we bombed by the Galatic lord Xenu.

I have met scientologists, I have family that are scientologists.

I would never even under pain of death vote for a scientologist.

Scientologists are nice people who want to better the world (for the most part). The Church of Scientology is a destructive cult who only wants control to what it pleases. No active member of the Church could be trusted in office, its not because of him per say but what he is willing to do or be controlled to do by the church. There is a well document set of court trials involving criminal activity by scientologists, as well as the famous infiltration of over 100 US Govt. agencies in which 11 scientologists, including Hubbard's wife were sent to jail.

Yes Xenu & Body Thetans are utterly bizzare but members have been brainwashed into accepting everything the Church tells them by this stage. After you have spent 10, 20 years of time, effort and money all on scientology, it can be very hard to wake up from the cult.

Thier constant trying to manipulate the legal system, law enforcement and even governments as well the policy of fair game against critics means a resounding and very definite no to voting for any scientologist.

I believe that no members of government can be a scientologist in Germany, amongst other countries which ban it.

Scientologists believe its the best thing ever, and the only workable technology to save the planet and humans. A scientologist could not divorce being in office and being a scientologist, he would try to use the policies and 'tech' of Hubbard in his day to day work if he had been a member for any length of time.
