Research says potatoes, pillows, condoms, and jam it into the body to muffle the sound. Any suggestion for muffling the sound for multiple gunshots aside from a silencer that is realtively available and portable? I understand it is difficult to find/get a real silencer.

If you live in the USA it is easy, but time consuming to get a silencer. If you are in Finland, or a few other countries, then it is very easy.

For Americans, they need to live in one of the 35 states that allow silencer ownership. See www.subguns.com for info. The short version is, go to dealer, pay for silencer, bring atf form 4 to local sheriff for signature, sent in the form along with fingeprints, photos of yourself and a check for $200 to the atf and wait for approval. Then pick up silencer from dealer.

Using stuff like books will not work unless you are wiling to put up with lots of noise and a bullet that stays lodged in the book or goes flying off to the side of your target. A foam filled soda bottle will work, for a few shots, but is illegal to use in USA unless the $200 is paid. A pillow might work, but the entire muzzle had to be buried deep in the pillow, it had better be a thick pillow too. Condoms do not of course work at all. A potatoe might muffle a small 22 rimfire round, but do not count on hitting the target if it not a large one.

Actually, if you have a hobby lathe, drill, and a hacksaw, it is not hard to make a good silencer that will last a long time. I legally make my own using atf form 1's.

place the barrel against the eyeball, the vitreous humor of the eyeball and the cerebrum of the brain will absorb the sound, however it is a touch messy on the other side of the scull.

I saw a guy in a movie use one of those big plastic Coke bottles. That looked like it might work.

Why don´t you like the cushion? Of course, after several shots it starts burning. Other possibility: Shoot from great distance.

It is my understanding that a phone directory would act as a silencer....failing that, you may have to select another weapon of choice.

A sword is lethal and silent!

Forget the gun. Go for the garrot. I find one has more of a "hands on" approach in the execution.

Turn the TV up, I hope this is for a plot....cuz I think it could be readily traced, if not.
