yes swimming is very effective in losing weight as long as you do it every day(more than 3 times a week) and practice about 1.5 - 2 hours. Your workout needs to be challanging, and regulated... as in make sure you go the same amount of times each week.

Swimming is wonderful for you!
Not only do you get an aerobic exercise,
your arms are getting majorly toned.
I also love water earobics!
You can be working up a big sweat
and burning hundreds of calories
but you don't realize it because:
1. you're in water so it's cool and refreshing
2. you won't feel it in your joints because
the gravity in water is different than air.
So swim, have fun, and lose weight! :)

yes very effective if you do it on a daily basic (one to two hours) and work hard on it. Do different strokes so you can tone different parts of your body.
