I read a stat the other day that said that when polled 66% of Americans favorite food that is on a cob is corn. I thought that was amazing.

That's easy. Jesus wasn't American so the 1% figure shows that there are 1% of Americans are ignorant of this fact who also happen to admire Jesus.

Perhaps because he wasn't an American. He was born in Jerusalem and does not qualify as an American. He may be the greatest person of all time, but not the greatest American. Thanks for asking!!

One could say that Jesus is a savior for all people, and thus he is, in a sense, as American as he is a memeber of all nationalities and races.

Or it could be that you're just expressing hatred for Americans. That would be a shame, since there are a lot of nice ones.

Because according to the Book of Mormon he came to the U.S. to teach the Natives. And since he arrived without a passport, he gets no more respect than any illegal immigrant named Jesus.

Probably because of the many different religions. Alot of them (like JEws) dont believe in Jesus, and other religions have different "Jesus's" and plenty people just don't care i guess.
