How long did it take u ladies to get pregnant on metformin?(plea... Help)?
my girlfriend and i just found out she has pcos and she started metformin on the 17 how long would it be before she gets her period and after that usually how long for her to get pregnant beaceuse i am leavin for the navy in jan. and we want to concieve before then( her last per. was in feb if that helps

metformin is not a fertility drug, it just helps to regulate the cycles. This happens more or less straight away if you take the metformin correctly, so as long as she is ovulating (use an ovulation predictor test) then you should get pregnant straight away. If she is NOT ovulating, then you'll need a bit more help than metformin.

Metformin does not get you pregnant. It might help her to have her cycles along with controlling her IR (Insulin Resistant), but Metformin is not a infertility drug....it's a medication normally given to those that are IR or have Diabetes. She should be on Clomid to help her get pregnant.

I also have PCOS. I was taking metformin as well but never got pregnant from it. I had to also take Clomid. She should talk to her doctor about Clomid. That is just my opinion of course b/c it worked for me.

I have no idea what metformin is. Why don't you contact her doctor & ask? p.s.-just keep having sex all the time & make it fun so it doesn't start to seem routine.
