Think about it. If she has any conscious at all, living on with that knowledge of what a heinous deed she commited will be a lot worse punishment than the easy out. I wish she could live 5 life times with the knowledge of what she did

Reguardless of what human beings might desire to assert or think of, demon possession is an rather VERY genuine subject. in spite of the shown fact that, EVEN this does not EXCUSE a guy or woman. No, Andrea Yates did not keep her infants from hell. basically God has the skill to keep human beings from going to hell. i in my view can not say for advantageous the place her childern went, yet we do have a merciful God. The complicated subject is dealing with religious concerns in our present day criminal equipment. ALL i comprehend IS there is not any doubt THAT SHE DID IT WILLFULLY and that's all the evidence we desire. The courts made an rather evil determination.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, it costs less to house a convict for life than it does to execute them because of the costs of all the appeals. Also, whether she is crazy (I think she is) or not, what kind of life do you think it's going to be in a mental hospital? I'll bet she would rather die. My feelings are that it will be much harder to live everyday of your life knowing that you killed your own babies than to die and have the nightmare over. God knows the truth and she will be eternally punished if she was not truly psychotic. I choose to believe she was.

The rights of the guilty seem to be more important then the rights of others. But if the help she needs is there and she recovers, her concience will remember that day forever. And that is a heavier price to pay then death.

On the other hand...I live here in Houston, and have been hearing about Andrea forever.....think about this for a sec: This is how she's lived in jail since she killed her kids:
She is out of her mind, so she keeps asking for her kids & her husband.....then they put her on a new medication, & the fog lifts...and she realized what she has done. Then she becomes suicidal, so they change her medicine...in the interim of the new medication working, she lapses back into her psychosis, and begins calling for her children and husband,,,,then the new meds kick in and her head clears again....and she realized what she has done, and becomes suicidal....Every time she gets "better" she wants to kill herself. and every time she "goes back under", she calls and cries for her babies...........kinda like being drowned over and over and over and over and over.......what is more cruel than death?.....

because she was placed in the in-effective hands of "society".
If her husband and family didn't take action along time ago, shame on them. Society can't do anything very effectively. Except build red tape. Lowest common denominator, don't cha know..
If she were my wife I would have had her committed long before she killed our kids, and she would have known loud and clearly that if she harmed them she would be dead too. It is about accountability in your own family.
Plus her religious upbringing needs to be in court to answer for their abusive teachings as well. Satan made her do it? Who told her there was a Satan?

Jaded it right on. Geez you should put that in a poem - I totally felt dunked. Icky - macabre...
Life is probably the worst thing to do to her. Plus - unfortunate subject for study as well.
I heard it the same for the lady who cut of her baby's arms up in Dallas too.

even if she spent the rest of her life in jail;, our tax dollars would be paying for it. same with being put to death.
If she was given the death penalty, do you know how long appeals take? Years and Years.
