if you compare the original chain saw massacre, the omen, and the exorcist, to their remake, most people would say that the orinal was far better. i dont know if they computerize so many things on the special effects but it is somehow too plain.

today i think they have ran out of ideas, like the recent movie "snakes on plane", would you waste your money to watch that movie, i doubt it..

ya most of today's movies are all the same...something happens a long time ago to some person that makes them die, then they come back and haunt anybody that (fill in the blank). and i would never waste time or money watching "snakes on a plane" unless i had nothing better to do and someone else was paying for it. it sounds real dumb.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was way scarier then anything out there today. It's my favorite horror movie. I love Rob Zombies movies. They're just like Chainsaw. And, no, I will NOT pay $6-10 for a movie called Snakes On a Plane. It sounds like a 10 year old made it! LOL!

I agree that they were. I feel the reason for this is due to producers relying more on special effects than the content and quality of the actual story line itself. They need to go back to the dasy of being kids and telling ghost stories around a campfire, or sitting in a dark room with friends relating spooky expereicnes. The imagination can do more than any Hollywood studio for special effects in making up monsters and whateever or whomever is lurking aroudn the corner.

They have also replaced "fright" with "gore". Gore is not scary, its vulgar and disgusting.....
