The Spanish, Italians, Croatians and Egytians all dote on kids.
Overall Italy has a great mixture of family stuff to do and very child friendly food. Plus it's got a architecture and culture that will stick with your kids for years.
If you wanted to use popularity as a measure, UK families love Menorca and Majorca.

Holiday World in Indiana. Just left there yesterday. The waterpark is so fun. I loved the free unlimited soda at the park. And free parking.

Myrtle Beach, SC. They have so many family things to do that kids really enjoyed. I took my daughter there in May and she said it was better than a trip to Disney. You can go on-line to their chamber of commerce and see the area attractions.
