It took me years to admit that my eating habits were not healthy. But I found even when I changed them initially to what I thought was a healthy diet, I wasn't doing much better. It is amazing how well some of the new marketing campaigns have done to convince Americans that Cheetos and Oreos can be healthy.
I don't by any means think my diet or exercise program is top notch, but I have come a long way I eat lean meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, and whole grains more often now. I don't eat out hardly at all any longer and I walk five days a week. It must be working too because I have managed to lose 50 lbs. I am half way to my goal.

I did up until 2 weeks ago, when I joined Weight Watchers. I am 53, very overweight, had horrible eating habits and little exercise. I was a yo-yo dieter for years and finally this year, after being diagnosed with high cholesterol, high blood pressure and my sugar is inching up, my doctor told me I was a good candidate for a pre-diabetic condition. This is finally the wake up call I needed to stop playing games and stop letting food control my life (and shorten it). I hope other Yahoo! Answerers take heed and don't find themselves in this condition when they get my age.

Yes!!! I had been nursing and recently stopped, and I have recently gone off my birth-control (keep praying!), so as my hormones settle down again, I can start controling my cravings and urges again, but otherwise I just gave in because otherwise I would feel so nausious if I didnt have something in my stomach. I did pretty good exercising and lifting weights, but that seems to have stopped now that it is 95 on a cool day!

I'm guilty of not exercising.
My diet is much more balanced than most. But it could use improvements. For example: I eat ice-cream every night because I must. But I eat more than I should.
I suffer from extreme hypoglycimia

I got out of the Army in DEC 05 and haven't "worked" out since. I'm still active, but not specific to personal training. I've always loved food but never been out of shape. Since I got out, I keep telling myself I need to run and lift weights and eat better. I don't necessarily eat bad, but I eat a lot. At least I basically still look in shape, although if I tried to run six l\miles now,.......I'd probably die.

I don't eat much, but what I do eat is $hit for my body! Plus I'm not one to exercise. I'm not overweight, but I have very little energy. Are you going to give me some pointers?

I'm aware that I have a tendency to not only overeat, but eat foods that aren't healthy for me. And I don't get as much exercise as I should.
