I am getting my 9 yr old a MP3 for her birthday. any suggestions as to one that is a little "tougher" than others? Or any designed for busy kids? I'd like to stay under $120 , too. She doesn't need any more that 100-150 songs.

The Creative Zen Nano Plus is better than the iPod Shuffle for a lower price.

It has a screen and runs on a AAA battery. FM radio and voice recording are also on it.

It holds 512MB for $45-$55 (depends on the color) which is about 125 songs. You can get it at Circuit City.

If she needs around 250 songs (just in case), the Sandisk Sansa m240 is low priced, too. It costs $65 at Circuit City.
