What's your definition of "Asian"?
1. People from East Asia, SE Asia. (China,Japan,Korea,Taiwan Philippines, Vietnam,Thailand...)
2. People from East Asia, SE Asia AND India.
3. People from East Asia, SE Asia, India AND Middle East. (Geographically speaking, including countries in Asia)

#1 is the closest to me. I think its the slanted eyes (sorry if that offends anyone) that are the key for identifying asians. So not indians and not middle easterners. Russia is in Asia last time I looked, but Russians have never been considered Asian. When did it become politically incorrect to refer to them as "Orientals"? Or has it...?

Japanese don't think or feel they are Asian, but Oriental.
They thinks they are Japanese.

It is not so easy.
What is American? all Americans can be defined as westerner?
