Don't listen to these morons.

Lebron is 21. He entered the NBA when he was still 18. He's far better than Jordan was at those ages. It's not even close.

In Jordan's 3rd year, he turned 24. His scoring average peaked that year at 37.1 ppg, as he 'led' the Bulls to a 40-42 record LOL. (Cleveland won 50 games in Lebron's 3rd year) As usual, the Bulls got swept by the Celtics in the first round 3-0 (would have been 4-0, except you only had to win 3 games in the first round to advance LOL).

Lebron, in his 3rd year, not only got the Cavs out of the first round, but they went the full 7 games against the defending Champs, the Pistons in the next round.

Lebron is a far superior player to Jordan as a 21 year old. Jordan won 5 mvp and six rings, but Lebron doesn't have to match that to be better than Jordan... where do people get THAT idea? Jordan couldn't match Bill Russell's 11 rings, which makes Russell almost twice as good as Jordan. Heck, even John Havlicek won EIGHT rings, which Jordan couldn't match, therefore I'm glad you all admit that Hondo was better than MJ!

(Lebron is also far superior to Carmelo Anthony).

Re: above comment that :"Jordan scored 60 pts in his 2nd (or 3rd?) year"... gee, glad you people know so much about Jordan's career! The guy doesn't even know what his career high was... duh, I think it was like 60 or something like that...

Wilt Chamberlain retired 33 years ago and STILL has more 60 point games than everyone else in the history of the NBA COMBINED... Jordan had a whopping FOUR sixty point games (Wilt had 32 hee hee).

Lebron might be a little taller than jordan and be filled out more than jordan, but that doesn't make up for the pure talent and desire that jordan exhibited when he played. I think Jordans hunger for victory alone made half of his stats what they were (career ppg 30.00 or something like that) To Lebrons credit though, if he can get into a situation similar to Michael Jordan where the core group of guys are all championship caliber players then i think Lebron would be able to focus on what it is he does and thats taking outside jumpers and slashing fiercly to the rim. I like to compare Lebron James more to Magic Johnson than Michael Jordan and i'll tell you why. Because he loves the run and gun style game and hes an excellent passer and ballhandler. I think hes like a big old point guard out there watching Lebron sometimes. But his game can be catered any way he wants to really. If he focuses on Defense his game will improve dramatically for Lebron. Also if he continues to work on his outside jump shot and his basketball IQ then he will be winning rings someday.

In comparison to Jordan at 21 like Lebron now, I would definetly have to go with Lebron James. Jordan was better during the middle of his career and at the level that James is at now, James may be able to surpass Jordan

At this point, it has to be Michael Jordan. He had a killer instinct and made players around him better. James is great but still lacks the killer instinct..It will develop.

Scoring- Jordan is still better
Defense- Jordan is still better

The only thing going for James is he is still young, He can only move forward. In 4 years, that may all have changed.

Good luck

Jordan. In terms of scoring, Lebron is probably just as good as Jordan was. But what sets MJ apart was his defense. He didn't become a truly great player until he became a good defender, and Lebron hasn't learned how to play defense yet.

tough question, but as far as progression of age goes, there's no question that Lebron is a physically more gifted specimen and a more skilled ball player. However, jordan finished his career with 4? mvps, and 6 rings....Lebron has to match that to even be considered better than Jordan.
