Is my body my own to do with what I please?
If I want a tattoo, a piercing, an abortion, liposuction, breast implants, a blood transfusion, should I be able to decide what I want and what I don't want? Yes or No? If not, who should decide for me?

Something else to consider: if I never tell another person about having had an abortion, does my having an abortion still affect them? Even if they don't know me? If so, how?

Final question: Is my body my own to do with what I want or need to? You tell me what you think.

I %100 Agree. its easy for some people to tell u its wrong. ecspecially men in congress who dont have the correct organs to carry a baby. they will never have 2 b pregnant, so why should they be able to make decisions about what we do with OUR bodies?

I'll answer your question from a somewhat legal standpoint which also transfers onward into the concept of universal human rights. You have the right to do whatever you want to your own body EXCEPT when such an action then has a more extreme adverse effect on another person. That would mean tattoos, piercings, lipo, and implants are all golden. A blood transfusion obviously depends on the willingness of someone to donate the blood (which isn't an issue here but would by in some second and third world countries).

Abortion, on the other hand, would depend on your definiton of a "person". Personally, I take the scientific point of view that at the moment of conception when a new and unique DNA is formed that it is a new individual and should be protected until that life challenges the life of the mother. I think people have an obligation to accept the consequences of their actions (ie having sex), as most abortions are carried out as the result of consenting actions and these should not be entitled to vanity abortions. A casecould also be made for cases where pregnancy is unwilling but the same test of life vs life still applies, as the mental damage to the mother should be extreme to justify it. All these quacks and their religious justifications are fools in my opinion.

Who should decide? Doctors for determining what justifies life and death but ultimately it is up to elected representatives to set out the rules for which the doctors should make these judgements. Majority rules is the way of democracy and if that leads to abortion being outlawed then that's how it is.

Never telling people you've had an abortion affects nobody except those who had a stake in the baby's life, so you and the father. But dependent on whether the baby is considered a person (as above), the case then can be made that if you were to murder a hobo and never tell anyone, does that make it any less a murder? Not really.

As for the last question, it kinda repeats the first one. I would even add that I think people should be entitled to do drugs or commit suicide or damage themselves however they want, but then that society doesn't have to protect you from yourself nor cover yor medical decline. Survival of the fittest and let the weak feed on one another.

Your body is your own as long as there is not another human being affected by your decisions. So, if you opt for breast implants but that causes harm to another person (just pretend along with me, ok?) then no, you do not have the right to decide to get breast implants. However, tattoos, piercings, lipo, etc doesn't affect others. Blood transfusions do not affect others (except that by taking that blood it is no longer available for someone else, but I'm assuming you need said blood in order to live). An abortion affects not only you, but the child, AND the father of that child. Thus, I do not believe that you are the only person who has a right to some say in that decision (of course, this goes back to the whole thing of there being NO excuse to be pregnant if you don't want to be -- dont start with me on the 0.3% of rapes that result in pregnancy).

As for not telling anyone, that doesn't mean you didn't still do it. If I kill a man and never tell anyone and no one finds out, does that mean I'm not guilty of killing him?

Your body is your own to do whatever you choose with it as long as it is not harming another. You want to die, die. You want to tattoo, tattoo. You want to eat 100 McNuggets a day, fine. But don't complain to me that no one will hire you or that you've gotten fat. And sure as hell don't expect me to pay for your funeral or your hospital bills from such choices.

If you have an abortion, and never tell the person Ie: your friend, then you decide maybe I need to tell them about it.. Then if I were your friend would definatly think differently about you. Not in a good way. Even if I were for abortion. I think it is wrong and it is your body, but still that baby you killed didnt ask to be made, nor asked to be killed. Tattoo's are fine, just the people who have them all over, are kinda abnoxious. there is such a thing as too much. Pretty much anything else is fine...

Yes it is your body you should what ever you want to it. No one should be able to tell you what should happen to your body. I think the only way you telling someone about an abortion might affect them is if they are pro life. They may judge you but do you really care what they think of you? If you decided to get an abortion it is because it was what was in your best interest not theirs.

Yes everyone has the right to do what ever they want to their body even though some people might find if inappropriate or offensive that is YOUR business and you really don't have to answer to anyone about things you do to your body.
if you want 30 tattoos and 5 body piercings that should be your choice to go to that NO ONE should be able to pressure you into or out of doing what you want to do with your body.

The abortion may affect their peception of you (even if they don't know you) but it is your choice and if you feel that is the way to go then by all mean you must make that desicion for your self

Your body is all your own business. Narrow-minded people are going to judge, that's to be expected, regardless if its a tattoo, piercing, abortion, breast implants, whatever. Somebody still thinks they have all the answers or apparently a direct hotline to God and they will judge anything and everything to feel better about themselves. But the fact is it's your body, not their's, and you have a right to do whatever you want.

I absolutely believe your body is your own and you should be able to do with it as you please, but I would caution you that you should keep other people in mind when making decisions concerning your body. For instance, keep in mind that other people will judge you, so don't be surprised when you don't get that job you wanted because you hae visible tattoos or piercings. Or that guy you really want is turned off by something you have done or marked on your body. I'm not saying that is right, but it is the way the world is. I wish we didn't have to worry about prejudices, but you can't change everyone. My advice is to never do anything with your body on impulse. Always give it time.

If you are of age (tattoo, peircing etc) then yes you should be able to do what you want with your own body it is you decision! Although some work places may ask you to cover tattoo's and peircings depending on the job. but other than that.... yes you are and should be free to do what you want!

Abortions.. that is your business regardless of how the next person feels about it... it was your choice and not theirs..... and they should keep out of your business if they do not like it!!!

I agree with all of what you are saying. It is my body and I am the one who has to live with what goes on with it, good or bad. If I have to or want to change that, it is my decision and mine alone. Unfortunately there are groups out there who only see one point of view and think they know best for all, which I find very irritating and will argue with them until I am blue in the face. I might as well be talking to a wall, they are so narrow minded but just as they can't be swayed, neither can I. I will continue to do what I want with what God put in my power. Suicide is the one exception here since the law will not allow you to commit suicide for any reason even though we are SUPPOSED to euthanize an animal if they are suffering, we have to continue to suffer no matter what. It's cruel to do it to an animal, it's law to make us suffer. Odd, eh? That is what you are dealing with and always will. Just keep on fighting for what you want and no one will be able to take it away. Good question!!!

Do you already know any person? If it is positive perhaps any individual for your loved ones or one in all your peers or associates will probably be concerned with taking on and shopping your small business. Or perhaps you'll be able to placed an advert in a nearby paper or Craigslist to announce this possibility. Chalk up the details and advantages and correct expertise. You might be amazed all forms of persons are watching for funding possibilities,.
