I will be in Las Vegas at the end of December. I realize it will be New Years and expensive no doubt. I know if i stay off the strip a bit it gets cheaper. Does anyone know of good deals on hotels that they have found? Or any good campgrounds close to the strip?

It's going to be cold that time of year, but if you have an RV you can stay at the Circus Circus RV park. Otherwise, a great site that reviews hotels and has links to their websites is http://cheapovegas.com/ Here are some of the least expensive, but still decent places to check: Plaza, Golden Gate, Sahara, Stratosphere, Fitzgeralds, Casino Royale.

I got a nice room at the golden nugget for 59 a night I thinks thats cheap but travelocity just sent me a thing for rooms in vegas as low as 33 a night. your best bet would be to find a place that rents rooms by the week you could find one with enough searching for 170 for a wk. but you wont find those on the internet use yellow pages.
