Why does EVERY person who gets 15 seconds on the radio feel they need to give "shout-outs"? Even country music stations; does that not seem weird?

I have never heard it on country stations down here. I guess we are either behind the times or just not following the herd.

WOW country music too. I guess you really do learn something interesting/new everyday. I thought it was only my people, but I just that is one of the many commonalty that all people have. "WE LIKE TO GIVE SHOUT-OUT" LOL
