Did they give Israel conditions under which the soldiers would be returned - or did they just do it to get a "rise" out of Israel?

My hunch is that this soldier was placed close to their border if not in Lebanon to encourage them to detain the Corporal. They wanted to have an excuse to go into Lebanon. I really don't care for either country or any country other then the USA but I do care about the civilians that are getting killed do to political tricks.

They have been bullying Israel for a while. I have a strong feeling that the Hezbollah did what Syria and Iran wanted them to do. To draw Israel into a confrontation which they got now. The Hezbollah are cowards like any other terrorist, hiding among women and children. Their demand is the return of prisoners held by Israel which is all bs. They thought that since Israel is also fighting inthe Gaza strip, they could easily defeat Israel.

i guess Hezbollah planned this very care full for a long time, so Iran gave them instructions and promised to back them up with weapons and political involvement in case they need it. wait little longer, i guess Iran would play bigger role in this war. I wouldn't wonder if the Israeli soldiers are already in Iran. Why is Hezbollah so sure that Israel won't get soldiers back? Open your eyes, Iran is open for conflict, they are up to something

They want a prisoner swap. This would be bad for Israel because it would just encourage Hezbollah to repeat the practice.

There are many Islamic factions that are murderously angry with the nation of Israel. Frankly most of their grieveances are just.

Check out the history of how Israel was created in 1948.

Im NOT saying Hezbollha shouldnt be wiped off of the map but they do have SOME cause to be angry.

Hezbollah is more of a terrorist army than a terrorist cell and I think they wanted to use the Israeli soldiers for a prisoner exchange. It was more of a copycat action like Hamas did a couple of weeks before. They wanted more attention I guess, so now they got it.

FIRST THEY MADE THE GESTURE TO TELL THE PALESTINIANS THAT THEY CAME OUT IN SUPPORT OF THEM..THEN THEY WANTED TO MAKE A PRISONER EXCHANGE WITH ISRAEL..YOU KNOW THE USUAL THING..4 OR 5OO HUNDRED, MURDERERS, TERRORISTS, SUICIDE BOMBERS, MILITARY CAPTIVES..THAT SORT OF THING..FOR THE RETURN OF THE COUPLE OF ISRAELI SOLDIERS THAT WERE CAPTURED..WHICH MOST PEOPLE WOULD CONSIDER OK..BUT WHAT IF THAT WENT WELL FOR THE TERRORISTS..DO YOU NOT THINK THEY WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN..I MEAN IF THEY CANT HAND BACK TWO SOLDIERS..WHO IS TO STOP THEM DOING THE SAME THING IN SIX MONTH'S TIME..

CUZ, HEZBOLLAH ARE CHILD KILLERS.
CUZ, HAMAS ARE CHILD KILLERS.
CUZ, TERRORISTS CANT SPELL TO WRITE THINGS ON THEIR BOMBS.
CUZ, TERRORISTS ARE NEVER SATISFIED.
CUZ, TERRORISTS ARE BRAIN DEAD MORON'S.
