The helium looses it's compounds and the balloon ends up coming back down to earth. And in the case of those silver/metallic ones, they land on power lines and short out a grid of the power companies lines so several thousand homes lose power for a half a day. It's actually a matter of how far they travel before they come down. If the wind current is right and the helium is fresh, those things can end up in another state!! Very cool!! Good question!!

The balloon will continue to rise higher and higher, and the air pressure around the balloon will slowly drop. Once the pressure gets too low, the helium inside the balloon can no longer be held in by the balloon material, so the balloon will burst.

there are a variety of of of variables that isn't be in a position of be depended on different than one. Variables comprise climatic circumstances, high quality of the balloon, quantity of gasoline in the balloon, mixture ratio between helium and air, age of the balloon, how the balloon exchange into taken care of in the previous inflation. the only good given is that when the balloon lands in the palms of a girl with long nails, POW!

Helium is so thin it eventually escapes from ordinary balloons. When enough has escaped the balloons find their way back down again

if they make it out to the ocean, a turtle or other sea creature will think it's food(jelly fish) and eat it and die.
don't let balloons go in the air.

they end up coming back down. when i was in elementary school we used to put letter the class wrote in baloons and let them go and see if anyone responded to our letters when the baloons came down

well...if your outside it will rise...then if there is wind it might go some where far far away........then it might get popped or stuck in a tree..........then if it survives all that...it will deflate on it's own..........and land some where hopefully in the garbage o_=
