I would put white shadow without frost on my lids and and just a little under the eyebrow. The I would use a white pencil to go around the inside corner of my eye - not in the eye itself, but on the skin then blend it a little to give the eye a dewy look. Then I would put on lots of black mascara. Next I would put on very dark brown shadow in the crease of my eye and feather it with a cotton swab to make my eyes look rounder or more cat-like depending on what you prefer. Finally I would use a regular pencil and lightly make a line from the center of the bottom of my eye under the lower lashes in a straight line towards my nose but stopping before I got past the inside corner of my eye then blending it so it isn't seen but giving the eye a more open look. Then I would do my eyebrows.

More important that the shadow color go with you. Have you ever Read the old basic book called "Color Me Beautiful"? Buy the book and you will get the best basic guide to color.
Remember the idea is to draw the attention to you not to the shirt. Choose the color that best flatters your skin tones.

A dark, rich color... like any (dark) shade of blue, purple, crimson, primrose, turquoise, green, etc. And of course, black! Just make sure you aren't doing this dramatic look if you have fair skin! Otherwise, you'll just look like an ugly clown... in other words, like a punk person. Hope this helps and good luck!

It also depends on your hair and eye color.
You could do the smokey eyes, with black and gray.
You could even spice that up for extra vibrance
by highlighting underneath your brow
with a bright, shimmering silver.
Or you could do purple.
Purple is a fun out-on-the-town look
that looks on almost everyone!
Whatever you do,
think "dark and bold" for the lid
and "bright and shimmery" under the brow.
Have fun! :)

If your clothes are neutral (beige or nude), black, white, or grey, then you will add dominant colour to your makeup as a fashion accent counterbalancing your outfit. Dominant shades must be in contrast with your skin tone; they are the brightest, darkest, or shiniest colours on your face, and are always chosen in accordance with the colours of your attire. For dark clothes, choose lighter or brighter makeup in the same palette.
* For a dramatic look with a vintage or bohemian feel, practice these suggestions from Smashbox makeup artist Caprice Gray.
VINTAGE:
"Think Billie Holiday, Jean Harlow, or Gwen Stefani!"
· Skin should be very matte. Try Smashbox Photo Matte Powder.
· Define brows using a soft, clean shadow in cool brown. Then add a sharp black liner on the top only with lots of mascara. You can line the inside lids for more definition in black or white.
· Individual lashes on the outside top lash line are very hot with this look.
· Lips can be brown or red semi-matte. For the photoshoot, I used blush in Smashing Emotion high on the outside cheekbone. Brunette Browtech adds a crisp but natural arch.
· Then add Ivory Haze eye shadow with Caviar Cream liner. I love Ardell lashes and Duo clear glue. Note: if you do this at home, practice the lashes!
BOHEMIAN:
· For a Bohemian look, keep the brows clean and groomed with wax only.
· I chose a flat green, called Still, and smudged it around the lash line with a brush. Then defined the lash line with brown liner in Cameo. A bit of peachy pink shimmer in the contour adds pop. Try Golden Orchid.
· Lots of top and bottom mascara is needed for the Bohemian look. It should be very thick, almost clumpy. Layer Lash Primer and Focal Point Lash Building mascara on lashes.
· Add a pink shimmer cheek color like Prism Soft Lights to the apples of your cheeks.
· Top your lips with Lip Illusion gloss.
* For a very dramatic look, try some shimmer on the face and eye. On the PromAdvice photoshoot, I used Film Star and Casting Call eye shadows with Picasso liner. Use Flash powder to add shimmer.
· Use three complimenting colors on the eyes and blend, blend, blend.
· Add some shimmer powder on the high points of the face. Try Smashing Heat or Smashing Ultraviolet skin tint on the cheeks.
"Remember to keep your look balanced. Too much of a good thing can turn into tacky."
· Use a gel blush in a plum or watermelon color.
· You can also play with some strong color on the lips. Try Palm Beach lip liner (it looks great on everyone!) and the lipstick shade Bacio if you like red or Temptation if you prefer pink.
· Add Catwalk or Illusion gloss for shine.
· Lashes can really make this a look to remember!

you could do a smokey eye look, use silver or gold shimmer, or a dark blue or deep purple. Shimmering eyeshadow is great for evening looks.
