My concern is that the feds don't let states govern themselves according to the Constitution. Doesn't this let the feds establish a stranglehold on a 2 party system and the billions of dollars that actually belong to state government. What ever happend to We The People?

Get a grip prof. The federal government has no right to a dept of education and an amendnent has never been ratified to the constitution to enact such a thing. I didn't say do away with the federal government just that the power the wield is far too much. So maybe you should make sure your doctorate is a valid one.

1. What happened to "We the people" is it has become "we the people that vote".
2. The states have certain power, but if not for the federal government we would not have a country. The constitution was designed to protect the citizens, but not to give away all the power, this is why we have a three part system.

See this is the problem with the education system in America people are not learning enough and have to ask these kinds of questions here.

I think states rights took a big blow in the Civil War and will never recover.
