Thugs?

I don't think you understand the situation.

They're defending their country... Finally!!! I hope they continue on until their country is safe once again... By all means of force necessary!

Rock On Israel!

...and no... I'm not Jewish...

This whole thing started out when Hezbollah - a terrorist organization based in Lebanon - snuck across the Israeli border and kidnapped two Israeli soldiers. Initially, all Israel wanted was to get their people back. Now - horror of all horrors - they're trying to wipe out an entire terrorist organization - Hezbollah should be called thugs, not Israel. Is there anything wrong with wanting to put an end to a terrorist outfit? Or are you in favour of terrorism? Its a shame there has to be collateral damage in the form of innocent civilians but that will happen in any war. If Hezbollah had kept on their side of the border and hadn't kidnapped the Israeli soldiers - none of this would be going on. SO, DON'T BLAME THE ISRAELIS - BLAME THE HEZBOLLAH TERRORISTS!

Do thugs stand up for themselves? Do they allow people to kidnap them, shake their heads, and say, oh well?
I doubt Israel is a thug state, simply because they won't bend over, and let the arab states have the land they reside in.
If you want thuggish states, how about the Syrian nation, that believes in ruling by the bullet. If you don't fall in line, you fall over dead, like the former Lebanon exile, who was killed by a syrian supporter.
Now, you have the arab nations, who are in power, by making the rest of the people live in squalor, large slums, with the rich in palaces. Want proof, go look at what Baghdad is like. Saddam had exorbinant palaces, white the rest of the city is brown, dingy, and even has the shape of cardboard boxes.
Israel has a lot to be proud of. They're educated, strong, and the only true democracy in the middle east....thats the other reason the Arabs hate it....it shows the people, that not every country needs to look like a cesspool. But if they see it, they might want to change their own country, so the arabs have to destroy it.

If the Hezbollah and Hamas and Syria and Iran and the rest of the thugs leave them alone, they will not be thugs. To deal with bullies and thugs you have to be a bully or a thug. Israel has a right to exist. Leave them alone.

The Israeli's only mistake is showing as much mercy as they have. I think that they should take a stronger position.

Strength and Force is often the only way to get people to respond.

thugs? how about they are defending and protecting their people. Is the assault overkill, sure I will give you that. But what were they supposed to do when Hezzbulah killed the soliders and kidnapped two of them? Gone to the negotiating table with them?
