There's no full proof way. I think we've all been made to believe that once a month is so regular. however its amazing to see that the majority of women do not have regular periods.

The mentality of many is beginning to change to learn to accept a more "irregular" period. It is a bit annoying as it can approach at any time.

On the other hand, a period on birth control is usually considered a fake period. It is unnatural, the contents are not the same that is released, and all is never released like a natural period would produce.

If you want to come off of birth controls, there are other options. Nuvaring is one which I (with your same problem) am currently trying. You should consult your doctor, conduct your own research, and discuss what alternatives would be best for you.

Birth control is the only way to regulate your menstrual cycle. Naturally, your body regulates itself - you are often influenced by the cycles of other women you regularly come into contact with, which can cause it to become very irregular.

Without birth control, regulating your period will be difficult, So many things determine your period--diet, stress, physical activity, etc. Without the help of the hormones in birth control, you may still have some irregularity.

The first question is how irregular are your cycles? There is a considerable difference between someone who varies from 24-30 days and someone who varies between 2 and 8 months.

Next, when did the irregularity begin? Has it changed at all?
