All these people I guess don't understand what you are saying. I think I do, you are saying that the kidnapping of the 2 soldiers did not justify the Hitler like reaction that the Israelis did.

Although the kidnapping of 2 soldiers did not justify the destruction that is happening in Lebanon, it is correct that in that regard, Israel over-reacted. But you DO have to understand that this is just a reaction on the CONTINUED actions of Hezbollah against Israel and the threat that is presented by this organization along their border in their perceived fight against the existence of Israel. This is not simply a reaction against the kidnapping of 2 soldiers.

I am by no means a supporter of Israel, but I can certainly understand the reaction that they made here, justifiable or not. From what I have been seeing, Israel wants to live in peace. But the fundamentalist Islamists in the area will not settle for peace; they believe that the ONLY acceptable solution for them is the total destruction of Israel. I know that the fundamentalists don't speak for all of Islam, and Islam is a very peaceful religion generally. I am hoping that the Middle Eastern Islamic countries would try to do something about these people.

Now, first of all, comparing Israel's retailiation to Hitler, is the dumbest thing i've seen. Hitler, was a man who actively absorbed countries, that were free and independent, bluffed the english and french, then did a little more...then decided to kill 6 million jews, unarmed civilians, who were living in peace within the borders...then started a world war, slaughtering Poland's armies, wiped out the french, invaded russia, don't forget the low countries of holland and belgium, and then spent 5 years making europe a slave factory to keep his war machine working, until he ran out of gas, America entered the war, and with our help, defeated him.
Now, Israel, who's been fighting for it's life since 1948, has had rockets shot at it, every day, since the soldiers have been captured. Lebanon admits they can't stop the Hezbollah, and to that end, who will? The world? They can't agree on how to do it. So then Israel has a solution....destroy the Hezbollahs.
Now, if you want to complain about civilian deaths in Lebanon, go ask the Hezbollah to come out from under the beds, the crowds, and the schools, and fight honestly....not as cowards hiding everywhere.
If they didn't like to hide in ambulances, or dress in UN uniforms, the real civilians wouldn't get hurt as often....or did you forget that?
Lastly, if you think kidnapping is justified, would it be justified to nuke Terhan for giving money and weapons to the Hezbollah?

It is hardly an over reaction. Israel has been attacked time and time again without really doing anything about it. This time they went to far and Israel said 'enough' and moved in. It was bound to happen and was a long time in coming but now that they have moved, it is justified. Where you get Hitler out of that I have no idea. He killed without mercy, justification, or even reason. He didn't like certain races, even though he was one of those he condemned to death, and decided to wipe them off the planet for no reason. Israel can hardly be compared to such a slaughter. Good luck!!

It is not an over reaction. If Mexico would have crossed into the U.S. and kidnapped two boarder patrol officers this would have been an act of war. If Mexico would have supported terrorist groups who sent suicide bombers to blow up our children and civilians on buses, and in cafes, this would have been worse. Hezbollah has done all that and the Lebanese government has done very little about it. The United States would not have waited this long to react. The Lebanese call for cease fire, did they ever call for Hezbollah to stop? Leave? You will get no sympathy from me. As Israel bombs the crap out of Hezbollah the Lebanese shout support for Hezbollah. They should have voted Hezbollah into office to lead them, but they did not so Hezbollah hides behind women and children. What scum!

The world backs Israeli offensive in Lebanon.

Israel says the decision by a summit of world powers not to call for a halt to its Lebanon offensive has given it the green light to continue.

"We received yesterday at the Rome conference permission from the world... to continue the operation," Justice Minister Haim Ramon said.

Obviously the world sees it is justified for Israel to go into Lebanon and destroy Hezbollah and all/any of its supporters. This is the right of Israel as proven by the support of the world.

The conflict had no longer something to do with those 2 infantrymen....it ought to be stupid for israel to lose yet another 118 infantrymen (some were from the Golani brigade their "appropriate educated" commandos) to preserve the launch of two reservists at the same time as they could have done a prisoner substitute and were given their boys lower back without laying off blood on both aspect. This conflict develop into planned a lengthy time period in the past, the seize of both infantrymen develop into merely the excuse for them to attack....a lifeless ringer for the guns of mass destruction excuse the united statesand Britain used to invade Iraq.

Israel acted on provocation before the threat to them in Southern Lebanon could get worse. The agreement they had for Lebanon to handle the problem didn't work so they took care of it themselves. Had we not appeased Hitler in the late 30s, WWII may never have happened. Your question, however, makes no sense as written.

This is not a question and it makes no sense. Therefore, I will comment on pres. chimp's remark.

Lebanon = harboring terrorists and allowing
them seats in the government.

Israel = Justified in their actions and giving
Lebanon what it deserves.

Pres. Bush = A president with balls and the
guts to stand up against terrorism and
unjust attacks on innocent peoples.

Pres. Chimp = Another ignorant and
uneducated communist.

Finally someone had the courage to ask this..I guess many people are thinking it,but no one dares to say it out loud...I don't think that killing people it's the right thing to do,no matter what they did...I'm really sorry for what Hitler did to Jews, maybe they should have learned more from what happened then, but it seems they totally forget...Anyway I don't think killing of people has any justification...As Hitler wasn't right back then, neither the Jews are now...
