You're so right. People are all hung up on material things until they lose them all and are left with what really matters: their health, their family, a safe place to sleep at night, the kindness of a stranger and the colours of the sunrise every morning.

Because the "Things" that mean so much to us could never be bought. Love is something that can only be given and then accepted, never bought or sold. Happiness is the same. It is infectious because when you see one person smile you smile back. Then around the corner someone comes and smiles back at you. That smile becomes a laugh and that laughter becomes someones healing process from a bad day. The important things are what keeps us sane and being that sane, will make you crazy. People think that with possesions they will get further in life, or be happier. But happieness, love and laughter, and all those other great things in life that are free, are only something you can decide to do or be. Happiness is a choice, smiling instead of being angry is a choice, and letting someone love you is the ultimate sacrifice, and the best feeling in the world.

OZYMANDIAS of EGYPT
I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said:—Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand,
Half sunk, a shatter'd visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamp'd on these lifeless things,
The hand that mock'd them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains: round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away

Hi,

It is the way of our culture. Materialism! Money is the bottom line.

Love for God and fellow man is the real happiness.
