How often do you and your partner have sex?? I feel like my husband and i are not having sex as often as we "should". I am curious to know how often the average couple is having sex?

All relationships are different. Some couples can have sex everyday. Some couples can have sex once a week. Some couples can have sex once a month. You just have to figure out what works for you and your husband. Dont compare numbers with any other relationship.
You should communicate with your husband and tell him your feelings. Then listen to him talk about his feelings and then come up with a compromise. Everybodys relationship is different. The couple that has sex once a month can be just as happy as the couple who has sex daily. You just have to do what works best for you and your man.

forget about the average couple. no two couples are the same. dick and Jane have a love swing vs tom and sue that only have sex on Sunday but all four of them drink at the same bar..... we are all different. i have been with the same man for five years and we have sex two time a day at a bare minimum , but you are not me.
take some things in to consideration does he work long hrs. has he been under a lot of stress. has anyone lost or gained a lot of weight this can be a Self-esteem problem. do you have children and you cant find alone time. maybe you need to spice thing up like Nurse costume or some thing like that.
maybe you should ask him if he thinks you guys should have more sex or is this just fine.

I think that there is a correct amount,
Personally I go to bed every night "prepared" to be a lover to my spouse. Which means if she's looking for some she will get it. That includes oral (attention to her) or intercourse. Now reality says every night just doesn't work act -- so as you see the average couple makes love 3 to 4 times a week (and skip that period week). So normal is times per week.
Personally I see too many women get hung up on he want wants it every night. If you actually start doing him every night in about a week he'll drop off -- women get stupid and forget to use that 15-minute hand job to put him sleep trick. That may be his most important 15 minutes of the day. Really kind of selfish not to give them 15 minutes a day if you LOVE them, pending being sick or something.
Now if you have a guy trying to bang you a couple times a day that's a bit ridicules, a MAN is suppose to work and spend some time with the kids. That's a priority problem.

26 years old...been married for 6 years...it really varies depending on what's going on in our lives (individually and as a couple). We go through phases...a couple months of 1-2 times a day, and then there may be a couple months without any AT ALL. If I had to average it, I would probably say about once or twice a week.

If I had it my way, we'd still have sex twice or three times a day (we set a record of 7 times in one day and 9 in a 24 hour period once while dating). However, with the way life is we often only have sex about once a week.

2-3 times a week somestimes more. My husband and I have been together for ten years (married for 3 of these yrs) and there was a time when it was maybe once a week during that period i can remeber twice that there was none. However, we found out that the form of birth control that i was using was possibly part of the problem. I changed from depo-provera shot to ortho tri-cyclen and have been great ever since....PLUS THE BONUSES OF TRYING NEW THINGS--role play, exhibitionism, among other things that we at one time thought was just crazy for anyone to try.

sex urges differ from people to people. in committed long term relationship 3-4 times per week is considered as standard but not a rule. if can happen that you and your husband have different sexual urges and you feel it is not enough, however the best medicine as always is COMMUNICATION. Tell him about this feeling and there is a chance you will solve your problem- better then talking to this forum.

We go in spurts...pardon the pun. Sometimes we have a lot of sex and other times we can go a month without it. It all depends on what else is going on in our lives at the time. On the average I would guess 3 times a week.....mind you some weeks it is none and other weeks it is 5 or 6....all depends.

13 years. Every day for me. 2-3 times a day..........oh.....you mean with my wife, not by myself. 2-3 sometimes more a week. Does it really matter, we connect in other ways such as hugging, a simple touch, holding hands wile we drive, all that stuff ads up and counts too. And we do it allot more than sex even though I think sex is a little better.

I am married. Before I got pregnant 3-4 times a week. Now that I am pregnant 2-3 times a week. I have been so tired lately. This baby makin stuff is bodily demanding.
