Its like how men don't gossip as much as women - other races seem to settle their disputes quickly and efficeintly - while caucasians like to draw out elaborate plans to conquer than mishaps - getting fired from a job per say or an awful divorce - no offense should be taken to your question - if anyone does they are a little to "Politically Correct"

I think Ami's answer is closest to the correct one. All cultures and groups have child molesters and serial killers, but in the USA, the majority of law enforcement (Police, Troopers, Constables, FBI, etc.) are caucasian, which means that other cultures and groups are less likely to report problems, as law enforcement is seen as 'the enemy' (and sometimes it is!). There have been valid claims in communities of color that when a Black, Latino or Asian child or adult is molested or murdered, the event is not treated with the same media attention or alarm as when the victim is caucasian.

It's also important to remember that reports and proflies are based on offenders who have already been put into the system, so any molesters or murderers who have evaded capture are not represented.

Most ethnic and cultural groups have a strong sense of pride about their heritage, and reporting incest, child abuse, etc. is seen as betraying the culture. Many groups also have very active prohibitions against reporting, especially if the offender is a family member, friend, or business associate. Reporting can cause community-wide shunning or ostracization of the reporter. This means that the incentive to tell anyone is leveraged by the punishment that the family and community will cause to the person who reports. The programs for educating children, teens and adults about recognizing, preventing and informing authorities about abuse, suspected crime, etc. are more prevalent in white schools and community organizations, as the funding is generally for 'public' entities, rather than smaller and private organizations.

In future years, when better records are available, it may be found that child molestation and serial murder is more common in one group than in others; or that these crimes are equally prevalent in all groups, but that there is under-reporting in some groups.

Well we don't know that, that is true because Caucasian don't only live in the US. You have Europe as well. Did you get the stats from those other predominately white nations. Also, a lot of minority cultures does not report these things therefore crimes against humanity goes unaddressed and unreported. It is hard to blame a race for being a majority on any crime unless, everyone everywhere reports and you get a national survey done. Until that is the case it is just speculation. Child Molesters are in every culture, who knows someone in your family maybe. Serial killing is no different than a drive by shooting. The bottom line is people are killed, finally since you have only spoken to white people you know, who you say admit to this monstrosity, they don't speak for the entire white community. It is like saying the majority of Latinos are illegal and blacks are thieves and Arabs are terrorist. It is just nonsense.

What is that assumption based on? From what I have seen on Dateline's 'To Catch a Predator', it is people of all races, with it pretty much divided evenly into different races. On the episodes where it was mostly white people, it was because the area in which they were in was predominantly white.

From my own personal experiences, too pervs come in all colours!

I am a social worker in an majoirty hispanic community. The majority of child molesters where still white due to the fact that white people are more aware that it is a crime. Hispanic victims are more afraid to confess due to culture tradition of "family" or that they may get deported. But they are still being reported for child molestation.. about the whole serial killer thing.. I would recommend for to speak to your local police department agency and get the facts

Well,
I am going to assume that your evaluation is for the USA only, so as you break down the statistics, it would have to be because of the higher percentage of Caucasians in certain Geographic areas.
And possibly because other ethnic groups are more family oriented, less prone to this type of violence, and possibly not prone to making some Bogus Claims.
Just some thoughts on the subject and not endorsed by anyone else.

I don't think it has anything to do with race as much as socioeconomic status and education level. Whenever the offender is profiled on the news, it's usually someone that is poor and poorly educated. In some cases, the person is a 'career criminal'. But those crimes exist in every race, culture and creed. The media in the US loves to play the race card faster than its inhabitants can -- the heinous crimes committed by whites just serves to vilify; the gritty, grimy criminal activities by non-whites only serves to perpetuate stereotypes. When it comes to race and the media in America, you really have to separate truth from hype.

Not raising people suspicions.
John Wayne Gacey was successful business man. Entertained children in hospitals with clown act. And was member of Rotary.
Leon Ridgeway (Green River Killer)had steady job and a house and a wife....They suspected him for years but needed DNA evidence to nail him.
Ted Bundy....if he wasn't a serial killer he would be in Congress today.
