Well, it's already there, but sadly, it can get worse.
They could legalize incest, child marriages, beastiality, necrophilia(sleeping with dead people), human harvesting, baby selling, cannibalism, legalize rape as punishment, oh, we're just on the edge of sickness.
Trust me, unless the goverment wants to watch this happen, they need to stop the cancer, before it kills us off.

Just because you don't like it doesn't make the rest of us sick. I am not a gay person but for any 2 people to want to make that kind of commitment is pretty amazing. I won't ever do it again so I think it is a pretty impressive, gutsy thing. More so when the couple is gay and there are people like you around. Are you going to condemn all those around you who don't have the same faith as you do? The same race? The same style of furniture? Be open minded and let everyone live their lives the way they want to do it and do the same for yourself. Live and let live!!!!

We probably don't see eye to eye on much. I have a masters degree and a great job and read papers and talk with friends about issues that affect us and our country. I shun hateful pablum from news sources such as Fox and steer away from ignorant people. And, I am gay.
So in answer to your question, societies can become very ill indeed. During the Reich, Hitler sent people to gas chambers you may recall and had others locked up to die in concentration camps.
It depends on how you choose to define sick, but I choose the Hitler Reich period for its sickness far and above any type of lessening of society that may exist from homosexual unions.
Personally, I think you and people like you must have some major issues that you haven't dealt with. - Even including hating yourself for your same sex thoughts maybe.
Get a life dude.

I don't think love is ever sick between two consenting adults. Over half of all marriages fail in America as it is ,why do you have the time to point a finger towards any one just wanting to love . I have been married for over 35 years and I am heterosexual. I am not prejudiced against any one

I didn't choose to be hetrosexual and I suspect you didn't either...do you think most people who are gay are doing this as a lifestyle choice? Get real buddy it's genetic! Everyone in our society deserves the right to the "legal" protections that civil marriage offers. Relgious marriage is something else and every religion has the right to decide what they will and will not support but civil union should be available to everyone who is considered an adult in our society.

I think homosexuals should be allowed to marry! I also think that the age of consent should be lowered to 13 as most girls are sexually active at 13 anyway. Plus have you ever had sex with a 13 year old girl? Let me tell you, its far better than having sex with a girl over 18! 13 year old girls aim to please!
