In my case (I've had a rough week and lots of "talking things out") we have discovered that in fact I (woman) married for sex and he married for love... funny huh. After many long months we have discussed it and I asked him why we had sex so often when we were dating (a mere 4 weeks) and his response was that he had to catch me somehow. After having discovered this he has vowed to make more of an effort ot indulge me in the things he sort of "promised" me before we married. He on the other hand wanted nothing more than to have a beautiful woman to have his children and be happy to see him when he got home and to love him endlessly... this has proven a bit difficult for me since I was afraid he was cheating because of a lack of sex recently. We have both decided that our needs are different from that which we have been brainwashed to believe and that it is each others needs that we must focus on not what other people tell us our needs should be. Best wishes

I disagree on the first part. Men are literally scared of marriage and will prolong it for as long as they can. I don't think they'd get married just for a piece of a$$. I do agree, however, that women marry for love but sadly we do have the gold diggers.

I totally disagree. If all men wanted was sex then they definatly WOULD NOT get married. I would hope that people get married because they have found that one person they dont ever want to see themselves without. That one you want to build a life with. If it were just for the sex....he would stay single and play the field.

Well with regards of sex and love... Here is a saying that I think sums it up: Men tend to fall in love with the women they have sex with and women tend to have sex with the men they fall in love with.

I would say men DATE and LIE for sex and women will do the same...but I don't think they'd go as far as marrying for it....would they? I mean anyone that truly values marriage...

Most people marry for companionship. It's best if the person is also a soulmate.
