Well it all depends on what holiday you're talking about. My favorite part of ANY holiday is decorating. I mainly like to make sure I follow tradition and keep all the kids happy. Now when it comes to a holiday like Halloween, I make SURE i have an adult party. COstume parties always spark interesting conversation. Especially when you're drunk.

Waiting all evening for my son to go to bed so i can put the christman presents under the tree on christmas eve, then going to bed and waiting for him to run in my bed room screaming that its christmas morning get up everyone get up everyone lets open our presents, then spending an hour opening presents, then spending the next hour trying to remember what we did with the batteries, christmas is my favorite holiday because the family spend the whole day together.

Hanging our stockings up on Christmas Eve, not being able to come downstairs the next morning until a certain time (we'd wake up at 6am and sit in our rooms til 7am, all excited and talking about what we thought we got), being able to go through our stockings Christmas morning while waiting for our parents to get out of bed to open presents.

Also, mom makes chocolate covered coconut eggs at Easter and dyes the coconut. Whoever gets the plain white one gets a prize.

We owned this real coffin-because my Great Grandfather made but never used it, he got cremated-and every Halloween I usesd to lay in the coffin with the bowl of candy on the bottom lid of the coffin. When people would reach for the candy, I'd jump up real quick, like Dracula. I stopped it in 2000 when I got a job.The coffin fell apart. It was wooden. My Granpa made it. He did a great job of it too.
